I work with hand-painted and commercial textiles to create original works of art. My inspiration comes from both startling and subtle everyday events, and very personal inner visions.
Perhaps you have these moments of clarity too, followed by a strong desire to integrate and record color, texture and meaning. The piece you see here is from a recent inner journey. I floated through a vision filled with confetti, music and merrymaking, and felt the sharp contrast of the need for occasional signs of order.

Some of my pieces hang as tapestries, and others are stretched on artist canvas. All are quilted, textured, stitched and painted, and then treated with UV protection. I have exhibited in art shows and traveling exhibits, but I most treasure the hours and days spent in solitude, in my studio, focused on the fusion of textiles, paint, threads and fibers - and that spark we each feel when fragments become a whole.
